The Singing Shepherd Boy Is Now on Kickstarter!

I’m so excited to finally share that The Singing Shepherd Boy is now live on Kickstarter!

This project began as a children’s book about David and his heart for worship.

As I worked on the story, I began writing original songs inspired by the Psalms. From there, the project continued to grow into something much bigger than I originally imagined.

Today, The Singing Shepherd Boy has become a collection of books, music, activities, and resources designed around one central purpose: helping children learn what it means to have a heart that worships God.

David worshiped God while he was a shepherd, and he continued to worship Him when he became king. His circumstances changed, but his heart for God remained.

That is what I want children to take away from this project.

Worship isn’t only something we do during church or when music is playing. Worship can be praise, prayer, gratitude, trust, obedience, and choosing to honor God in our everyday lives.

Introducing Gifts from God Publishing

The Singing Shepherd Boy is also one of the first projects from Gifts from God Publishing, my new children’s publishing imprint.

I created Gifts from God Publishing to produce faith-filled books and resources that help children know God, understand biblical truth, grow in faith, and recognize the gifts He has placed within them.

The vision goes beyond simply publishing books. I want to create stories, music, activities, and other resources that make faith engaging and meaningful for children and give families tools they can enjoy together.

The Singing Shepherd Boy is only the beginning.

What Is Kickstarter?

If you’ve never used Kickstarter before, it’s a crowdfunding platform that allows people to help bring creative projects to life.

Supporters choose a pledge level or reward, and if the campaign reaches its funding goal, the funds help produce and deliver the project.

For The Singing Shepherd Boy, one of the most important things this campaign will fund is the purchase of ISBNs I need to officially publish the books.

Those ISBNs won’t only help me publish The Singing Shepherd Boy. They will also help provide the foundation for future books from Gifts from God Publishing.

Supporting this campaign isn’t only helping bring one book into the world. It’s helping build the foundation for many more.

What Does the Kickstarter Include?

The Kickstarter includes several different parts of The Singing Shepherd Boy collection:

• a hardcover storybook
• a coloring and activity book
• a seven-song digital album featuring original songs inspired by the Psalms
• a spiral-bound songbook with sheet music
• stickers
• special bundles for families, ministries, churches, and classrooms

There are digital options available as well, so you can choose the reward that works best for you or your family.

The Kickstarter Is Live!

The campaign is officially open, and I would love for you to take a look, explore the rewards, and share the project with anyone you think might enjoy it.
