Why I Write Stories That Stir the Soul (Even When It Hurts a Little)

Some stories are meant to entertain.

Some are meant to escape into.

And some are meant to break you open gently—so something deeper can find its way in.

I write those stories.

Not because it’s easy. Not because it’s marketable. But because I’ve lived the kind of life that makes you crave redemption… and I want my readers to find it too.

You’ll find a lot here on this blog—writing tips, faith reflections, behind-the-scenes peeks, and a little wit tucked into the corners—but this is where it starts: with a calling to write stories that speak to the hurting, honor the healing, and point back to the One who restores.

What You’ll Find In My Fiction

I write slow-burn, sizzling romance, yes. The kind that simmers and aches and eventually blooms. But more than that, I write characters who carry burdens, question everything, and sometimes lose their way—until grace finds them in the unlikeliest of places.

If you’re a fellow writer, I hope you find encouragement here to keep going even when the words feel stuck or the world feels loud.

If you’re a reader, I hope you find characters who feel like echoes of your own struggles—and endings that remind you healing is still possible.

If you’re both (like me), I hope this space becomes a campfire where we can gather, sip something warm, and remember why we tell stories at all.

So pull up a chair, friend.

The pages are open. The coffee’s probably cold by now.

But the story?

The story is just getting good.
